30 youth with disabilities have begun acquiring Critical Skills Training today.

Opening Ceremony during 2nd Batch CIST Program 2023

The second batch of 30 persons with disabilities has now begun their four-month training (15 PWDs each) on Tailoring and ICT at Institute of Advanced Tailoring and Fashion Design and Athang Training Academy, respectively, to build self-esteem and self-reliance, enabling jobseekers with disabilities to be independent, confident, and contributing members of society.

Mrs. Tshering Lhamo, Chief Program Officer of Skills Development Division (SDD), Department of Workforce Planning and Skills Development (DWPSD) under the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, graced the opening ceremony.

Disabled People’s Organization of Bhutan-DPO in collaboration with Ministry of Education and Skills Development is organizing the training along with registered training institutes with full financial support from Asian Development Bank Bhutan Resident Mission under ADB STEP-UP Project program.
