Bhutanese Sign Language Interpreter Training Course” starting August 2025.

Wangsel Institute for the Deaf under Ministry of Education and Skills Development, is ready to implement Bhutanese Sign Language Interpreter Course curriculum funded by Canada Fund for Local Initiative (CFLI) to provide accessibility for Deaf people of Bhutan and better inclusion. Therefore, the Institute in collaboration with Disabled Peoples’ Organization of Bhutan (DPOB) is providing a “Bhutanese Sign Language Interpreter Training Course” starting August 2025.

NOTE* The fees collected will be spent on the social activities carried out for the immersion program with the Deaf communities which is a part of the training course and on other utilities bills. This will also cover tea and snacks for the participants.
