Deaf Community Organization

The Disabled People’s Organization of Bhutan (DPOB) actively supports the deaf community through its dedicated Deaf Community Organization, which focuses on promoting awareness, accessibility, and empowerment. The initiative provides tailored programs, including sign language training, advocacy for rights, and educational resources, ensuring that deaf individuals have equal opportunities in society. DPOB facilitates workshops and events to foster social connections within the deaf community while raising awareness among the broader public about the challenges they face. By championing the rights and needs of deaf individuals, DPOB promotes inclusion, dignity, and self-advocacy, ultimately enhancing their quality of life in Bhutan.
