However, their life transformed with the support of the Disabled People’s Organization of Bhutan (DPOB). The organization provided Name 1 with crucial resources such as mobility aids and rehabilitation services, enabling them to live a more independent life.
DPOB also advocated for Name 1’s inclusion in mainstream society by facilitating access to vocational training programs, which led to gainful employment.
